Column shifter broken, floor conversion, automatic

Post by Fish Doctor »

Hey guys,
Yesterday was the second time my automatic column shift tube broke inside the column. I'm getting fed up with it and was thinking of putting in a floor shifter. Has anybody done this before or have any thoughts?

Thanks,

Personally i would not modify a truck that nice with only 90,000 miles on it. I say fix the column shift.

My thoughts also, but the truck is not all stock anyways. Has anybody put an automatic floor shifter in their truck before? If so, what kind? Any pics of the install?

Thanks

Thanks, but I was thinking of something a little cleaner looking. Most likely planning on using this B&M shifter. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detai ... word=80681
Just need to know where to cut the hole in the floor, and where people have located the shifter to not be too much in the way.

Thanks
