This is the driver's side. Like I said, needed some major work. But, using the DC panel as a patch worked out well.

Also did some coating on the pass. side panels, and a few other assorted peices. Now, just have to get the pass. side welded in.

So, I ran into a little issue with the drivers side. After perfectly aligning the inner and outer corner panels, the innner panel is about 3/8 of an inch off. I messed with the panels for an hour, but couldn't get them to line up. So, choices are A. exend the outer corner by 3/8 of an inch, or, B. shorten the inner panel 3/8 of an inch. Well, doing the inner panel is much less work, so that's what I went with. I used my electric shear, to get a nice straight cut.

After welding the two peices back together, the panels line up perfectly. So, time to coat these in POR-15 also.

Last night, got the pass. side outer corner welded on. Just have to dress the welds, and check for pinholes.

Did some work on the cowl this weekend. These panels were pretty roached at the bottom, so I had to put in new metal. I decided to do the patches in two peices, due to the different curves they have in them.

The drivers side needed the most work, so started there first. Cut out two peices, from 16 ga. steel. I used my metal stretcher I got from Eastwood to get the curves done.

The passenger side didn't need quite as much metal. Did the same thing, two pieces. Now, you'll notice on the original pieces, there is a big honkin' hole in the front of the piece, for what I don't know, other than to let dirt in. Not sure if that hole will be there when I put these back on.

Haven't had much time to work on the truck in the last few weeks, between hurting my back, house projects, and such. Quick update: Ordered the steering column from Ididit. It's a 35 inch tilt column, that will be painted to match the truck.

is thing is starting to look like a cab again! Got the dirvers side cab corner on. Passenger side is all done, and ready for primer. Hopefully I'll have the cab in primer in a few weeks.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Time for some more updates. The drivers side rocker, at the front, was toast, but the rest of the rocker panel was fine, so, I decided to patch that secion, instead of replace the whole panel. I also had to re-create the bracket that holds the nut for the bottom of the front fender.
