Replacement Speedometer

Post by cghstrojan08 »

Where do you guys get your replacement speedo cable? The one I ordered from LMC was not the correct one.

Old of course is the nasty one not in the bag lol

Here is LMC's cables. Based on my '68 2wd 3 speed non-overdrive I need 47-2032. That is not what is in my truck.

Well went around town yesterday. Only place that had it was O'reilly but they had to order it. Got it today and put it in. Works great but while I was out getting gas for the mower the truck decided not to start. Its always something.

Yes it is. Mine was down off and on the past few days. It turned out to be a loose wire on ign switch. Easy fix once I found it.
These older vehicles required more maintenance to keep them going, but when they go down it is cheaper to repair than modern vehicles.
Hope your problem is nothing serious.

Visit your local NAPA and quit ordering repair parts from LMC. No shipping and the returns are much simpler.

The part in the bag looks to be for a cruise control truck.

Local Napa said they couldn't help me. O'Reily seems to have most things. Only reason I got it from lmc before is because I was ordering other things.
