Hello everybody,
I am planning to convert my 72 F100 longbody (240 engine) from a manual 3 on the tree and 3 speed (c code)
rear to a C4 (2.72, flat pan) with a Dana 44 rear. I already have the trans and the rear from the same 1977 F100
but would like to know whether I can reuse my existing driveshaft? If not, what size shaft do I need?
Also, would this be a good time to convert to disk brakes while the Dana is not yet installed?
Any help for this newbie would be most appreciated.
Volker

On the main page there is a reference sheet of drive line lengths.
