3 Speed Trans leaking from shift arms

Post by cghstrojan08 »

Second day of drving my truck. Replaced the rear input shaft seal on my 3 speed trans and replaced the fluid which looked horrible before. Just got to work and noticed that there was a small puddle of fluid on the ground. Looked at the trans and where both shift arms go into the transmission are leaking. I would assume there is a seal around both of them but I can not find anyone that would have one. Any help?

Should be a National #340797 seal. Your local parts guy should be able to order them.

What type and how much fluid did you use? I wouldn't think they would leak enough to form a puddle. Isn't the Normal Fluid level below the shaft?
