Glove box key lock

Hi, has anyone tried using the glove box key lock from the 73 and up on the 67-72 models?
I dint see a thread about it and wanted to ask before I go digging one up in the yard.

Don't know if the later ones work but some 67-72s had them. I have one I took out of a 70 or 71.
