Spring conversion

I'm just curious, has anyone ever tried or did a conversion from Flexomatic to conventional spring set-up on their truck.

I've always wondered what's the difference or for that matter, the purpose? It looks like it would make the ride smoother without sacrificing load capacity.... am I close?

My 70 doest have them and rides rough. My 67 has the flexos and it rides smooth, I love driving my 67

Hmm I hope I have them then lol ive never looked. though I pretty sure I dont. My truck is just a 68 f100 ranger 2wd swb with originally a straight six. Just a base model
