I know this is an older post but the plastic clutch release rod bushing you have pictured looks very much like the bushings you would find on the mechanical linkage of an early Mustang with a manual transmission. I suspect they are the same I.D. & O.D.

They are readily available from early Mustang suppliers. They are pretty inexpensive so if you got it and it turned out it won't work, you wouldn't be out of a lot of money.

Example of the release rod nylon bushing [part number 7526].

...I had a mechanical linkage in my '68 Mustang, with a Top-Loader 4-spd, back years ago. The linkage rods would eventually wear through the nylon bushings. This would cause the hole in the bell crank and the tips of the rods to wear down. I took some 3/8" diameter rods, cut them to length, threaded the ends and installed a Heim joint on the lower release rod and (shielded) ball joint linkage ends on both ends of the upper release rod. Not only was it more durable than the factory design, the action was a lot smoother and it eliminated the wear on the rods and to the holes in the bell crank. The same basic principle could be applied to the F-series trucks.

This setup came along a number of years after I made the set I had but, it gives you a basic idea of what I'm talking about.

This is the type of shielded ball joint rod ends I used on my '68 Mustang's upper release rod, instead of Heim joints [part number 6058K28 listed under "Ball Joint Linkages" in McMaster-Carr link below].
