I have always wished my truck had a 3 OTT manual trans since I bought it but everything else was what I wanted so I overlooked the auto. The old auto trans has 150K on it and will hopefully be retired soon for something better. I would love to covert the truck to a 3 on the tree when that time comes because I've always loved them but never driven a manual like that. I've read people doing the swap on here. Whats involved to convert an auto on a 360 to a 3 on the tree manual? Also what kind of effect does it have on the value of the truck- not that it matters much if I like it better?
Thanks

Re: Auto Trans to 3 "On the Tree" Info Needed
A 3 speed manual transmission
A 3 OTT steering column
A bell crank/Z bar assembly for your engine configuration
Manual trans brake/clutch pedal assembly
All related linkage rods, floor seals, etc.
Probably require a different length drive shaft.
You're best bet would be to find a donor truck. It would probably hurt you on resale value because most people don't know to drive a 3 OTT these days.
