72 f100 on a 91 chassis

Post by wndsofchng06 »

Guys,

I have a chance at a free 1991 f250 chassis with a 7.3 and 5 spd. I been reading a lot online, unfortunately our forum here stops me from searching for 10 minutes at a time, but does anyone have any idea how close the cab mounts might be? Seems to me everything I read is that as long as its a single cab long bed to single cab long bed, they are pretty darn close!

Input? I know there are 9,000 other options.... just wondering if this would work since I am a bit of a diesel nut, and I know putting the diesel on the old frame is a tough nut to crack! :fr:

Links come up but no info on what they did.
How was the swap? Good and the bad.

I swapped a 70 onto a 95 f150. I have had a few guys asking me about this so I posted a "body swap" post yesterday. I didn't take many pictures but I will take any pictures or answer any questions you have. JDF is also staring a similar swap. you should contact him.

Wow! That looks great!!! Definitely giving me motivation! I did end up getting the 91. I will post a few photos of it parked next to the 72. I will certainly email you and JDF as needed!

Started selling some parts off the 91. Will continue dis-assembly and start some photo posts.

Here's a pretty good write up of a '72 on a 2002 chassis. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... &sk=t&sd=a
