Power steering ...

Post by fastEdsel »

I had the pair of '69's delivered here a couple weeks ago and getting ready for the 4X4 restoration. It has standard steering and wondered if any of you folks knew of a power steering change up kit or otherwise. My '67 2X4 has factory power steering but that would be a nightmare to switch over. :help:

On another note, I tuned in the 1968 Ford Mustang commercial on You Tube the other day. I figured the lady driving the fast back Mustang to be about 40 years old? The car is now 46 years old so that would make her 86 now!!! Good grief, where did the time go. :? I was 18 in '68, so it was kinda nice to revisit and listen to the catchy tune again. You Tube rocks, even for us seasoned citizens!

With the right tools/equipment, doesn't seem all that bad. http://www.fordification.com/tech/powersteering4wd.htm

Thank you both for the information and I will contact these folks. I was 19 when these trucks were built and really had no problem back then muscling them around with standard steering but anymore if the equipment is available and the restoration is going ahead, it just makes sense to add it on. It also adds value to the truck and makes it more saleable if that should ever happen. Thanks again guys!
