f100 crown vic front end conversion
I realize there are already a lot of threads out there on doing a crown vic front end conversion but I have not had any luck finding some information that I need to go further with mine. So I have a 73 f100 2x4 that I have been working on I have the old suspension tore out of already and have a front end out of I think a 03 crown vic police car which I was told were a little more heavy duty. So what I need to know is where I need to locate my front end I didn't think to take any messurements before I cut the old suspension out so any information on where to messure off of so I cant finally get my front end bolted in would be awesome.

At this point I would say put the front sheet metal back on if you have it off. Align the center of the hub to the center of the wheel opening in the fender. Adjust accordingly. You can also pop over to FTE and search for davewild in the dent section. He did this swap on his '78 and might prove helpful.

Right now the truck is down to the bar frame so I don't think that will work but what do you mean the FTE I am kinda new to this web site.

Re: f100 crown vic front end conversion
You made the mistake of not marking your centerline. Just because you have it stripped to bare frame does not mean you may not need to do some backtracking. The dimensions of the front of the frame between a bump and dent are supposed to be the same so dimensions used on bumps should work. As stated you will have to do some reading. Just because Dave did not post information does not mean he does not have it. I would have posted in his thread or a PM to him asking.

A great write up by flyboy (as usual, thanks flyboy!) including a dimensioned template. https://fordification.com/forum/viewtop ... a&start=15

Re: f100 crown vic front end conversion
Just my $.02, but I think elgemcdlf is right. Are the front spring upper perches still on the frame? Front axle should be in line with the coil spring. If not, are core support and cab mounts still on the frame? Do you still have the doghouse? If you don't want to put any sheetmetal back on, then how about measuring the distance between the mounting point on the core support and the center of the wheel opening in the fenders, and transferring that to the frame?
Good luck - I hope it all lines up!
