Passenger side is done. Not as much rot on this side.

Weather held out long enough for me to get some POR-15 on the cowl and floor. Plan on shooting epoxy over it, and I'll probably puff can some black paint over the cowl section, before I weld it back together.

Thanks, Randy! Prepped and shot the area around the back window, where that panel will go back, with Eastwoods Rust encapsulator. I'll shoot the spots I taped off with weld-through primer, and then get that panel welded back in.

Not too much to report this week. Panel around the rear window is ready to be welded back in. Shot the front axle with Eastwood's Chassis black, but I still have to clean up the spindles and coat them, and install new seals, bearings, and a new cover on the axle. Oh, and new ball joints.

Thought I'd better get some updating done. Here are the sections on the side of the cowl that I removed that will need to be fabbed up. Tossed them in the blast cabinet to see what was left. I'll have to graft in the rusted sections.

Now, this was like Christmas! A buddy in Oregon, that had an old, but very clean cab (That I wish I would have gone and picked up!), cut the cab corners out, so I could get the inner cab sections, to replace mine, which are rotted to nothing. This was a huge break, since, for whatever reason, no one repops these. But, I may just use the outer cab sections off of this also, since they are in amazing shape, and sell the ones I got from DC. We'll see. The one side is perfect, while the other will need some work. Some PO welded an exhaust hanger to the outside of the corner!!

I can't say enough about the quality of your work. Looking at the quality (and quantity) makes me feel like a heal for lamenting about the condition of my daughter's cab. Just rusty drip rails and inside A pillars. Thanks for putting it in perspective for me and keep up the good work.
