Looking to lower rear end

Post by Bvh56 »

. I'm looking to lower the rear of my truck so it's level with the front about 1 3/4". After reading through a ton of posts I still haven't found the answer I'm looking for. I have the flex o matic springs. From what I have read if I do the half flip on the front hanger it will give me about a 4" drop more then I'm looking for. So has anyone just knocked out the rivets on the front mounts and moved them to where They need and redrill holes and bolt them back up ? I know I will probably need to change the pinion angle as well. Any thoughts or suggestions on this. Thanks
Oh ya truck is a 68 f250 camper special reg cab

Just a thought, but have you maybe considered removing the helper spring (the short thick one) on the bottom? May not be enough, but you might could remove one more leaf too. Hope that helps.

to see a 1 3/4" difference in stance you would need to move the front hanger 3.5". I havent looked at it, but seems doable.

I have thought of doing this but not sure it will be enough to lower it where I want to be.
