best vendor to use for general parts(lmc,npd,..etc)

Post by sharkdog »

Just wondering what vendors people use for there truck parts and weather they think one is better then the other. Of course L.M.C is the big name around but N.D.P is usually mentioned as well and of course I have found Dennis Carpenter. Is one any better then the other? I never here about Dennis Carpenter but there website say they have the original ford tooling. Any comments would be appreciated

Thanks, Pete

LMC is alright.. Some stuff is good, some stuff not so good. It can be hit and miss with them. Dennis Carpenter is very good for the most part, but they are a LOT more expensive than anyone else. I personally have found National Parts Depot (NPD) to be the best when it comes to quality for value. They also ship fast, are very accurate, and are very customer service friendly when you need to return something.

I still shop at all 3 as well as a few others (Macs, Bronco graveyard, etc...) for availability and price as you will find that certain parts might only be carried by one or the other. I have found stuff that NPD carries that LMC does not, and vice versa...

I bought an electrical part from NPD. I needed to return it and read my receipt which said no returns after 30 days I think it was and no returns on electrical parts at all. I called them and asked and they said no problem send it back.

I check them first now just because of the that experience.

I've bought from LMC and no problems either.
