Removed the back section of the door jambs, where the doors bolt up. This will also allow me to repair the kick panels, which have some rot. Here is the drivers side.

Here is the pass. side. I'll be fabbing up a patch for the bottom of the panel removed. Both sides are like this.

Since I couldn't get the sandblasting done yesterday (poured rain all day), went ahead and got the cab corners cut out and fitted for the new Dennis Carpetner peices. Should have the inner panel section (that you see still attached and rotted out) from my buddy here shortly!

I've talked to them at Dennis Carpenter, and could raise any interest. I thought the same thing, if the outer is bad, more than likely the inner panel will be also!

Got the kick panel rotted sections out. Just need to make up the patch panels, and get them welded in. Hoping to get the floor coated in POR-15 soon.

That's awesome progress, Pat! I know it feels very sinking every time you find a new area to repair, but as soon as you turn that corner, and the truck starts gaining pieces instead of losing pieces, it'll be awesome. Great job man, keep pushing forward!

thanks guys, appreciate it! Applied POR-15 to the underside of the cowl, the backside of the rear window panel, and half of the front axle. I'll finish the axle tonight.

Both patches for the kick panels are now ready to be welded in. Should have that done tonight. You can see the flange I had to roll in the second pic. That bead roller works like a charm!
