Linkage bushings
Hello everyone, new to this forum and new to this model of for Truck. (I've owned an F-1 and a couple mustangs.) I've just purchased a 1967 Ford F-100. I am rebuilding the column shift and have used the tear down on this web site for assistance. My question....does any one know what the bushing on the lower end (next to the transmission) are called and where I can purchase them. All the online sites list the bushings at the end of the steering column (under the hood.) Mine are shot, sloppy and metal to metal. A part number or location to purchase would be great. Thanks for any assistance anyone may have.

Hello and welcome. Any chance you could get us a photo of what you are referring to?

Re: Linkage bushings
The transmission is a three speed manual with a three on the tree. I am referring to the bushing on the ends of the shift arms/linkage that go from the bottom of the steering column to the side of the transmission. The bushings are rubber with a brass colored metal insert. I think after pouring over the schematics you have on this site, the bushings are the same on both ends of the linkage. I've ordered two sets, so I will soon find out. Looking at the transmission end of the linkage I think it might be the case, there is not much bushing left on that end.
