I started cleaning up my driveshaft for painting and noticed the longer shaft in the rear has a part that screws onto the end of the input shaft. inside of this part that screws on is a washer with grooves and some sort of seal. Where can I find one of these seals? I kind of destroyed mine taking it apart. I thought it was just grease and ruined it. Would an o-ring work?
I have looked in most of the parts books that I have and don't see any part as described. Thanks.

Re: Question about two part drive shaft
You will probably have to make it. Just use 1/16 to 1/8 cork gasket material or some thick felt material. Use the metal washer for the OD size but make the ID somewhat smaller so you have to force it over the splines as this is what retains the grease in the spline area.

Re: Question about two part drive shaft
follow Fred's advice.......an O ring won't work...The spline must be sealed also..Use the male end of your splined shaft to tap out a parrern
on a 1/8 " thick piece of cork/rubber material....cork, by itself will shatter......Or you could probably just pack it with graphite packing material
