What keeps this build going along with the anticipation of firing up the coyote

Re: 69 f-600 14' dump to f-100 short bed
What year model blazer, and does it support an in tank fuel pump??? I'm looking at installing a factory EFI 460 in my '71 F250 crew. I'm wanting to do a 22 gallon mustang tank in the frame, but the blazer tank would give me more capacity for the gas thirsty beast.?.?

Re: 69 f-600 14' dump to f-100 short bed
thanks, problem is seat color, Its a 9k mile truck but I wanna switch to buckets 87 gt mustang style with covers to make them look like a mach1 not sure if the red stripe will go.
I've been hung up on my rear suspension trying to get enough travel, I was going to c notch but to get my strength back I'd have to build frame height up through the bed floor. So I think I'm going to go with an AOL air over leaf set up. It will allow me to dial in my ride height and how firm a ride I want. Then maybe this winter I'l go full four link, unless i love the AOL set up.

Love the dimpled holes! Very nice...do you have a manual press, hydraulic, or??? Where are the dies from?

Re: 69 f-600 14' dump to f-100 short bed
this is where I got the dies. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/tools-su ... price.html
The dies work excellent so far.
I just use a 20 ton Harbor freight hyd press. The 20 ton is supposed to be good the 12 ton is not from what I've read. They have coupons for it once in awhile, I've thought about converting it to air over hyd, but so far I don't use it enough.

Re: 69 f-600 14' dump to f-100 short bed
Thanks for the info on both the dies and the press. I've seen both presses in the flyers once in a while and have come close to buying one. I'm like you...it would be nice to have a nice, fancy one but I wouldn't use it often enough to justify the cost of a top notch one. I've always liked the dimpled holes in Model A and deuce framed hot rods. Very cool looking and does both strengthen as well as provide better access for fasteners for brackets and such.

Re: 69 f-600 14' dump to f-100 short bed
Yeah that was the reason I did it for looks strength and to get to the rad support bushing and the sway bar mount. I'm at the point where I really need to bite the bullet and buy my new coyote. I need it for spacing on tranny mount and a few other things.
I'm also going to need a way to adapt the 1.5" coyote rad hoses to the ford rad inlet of 1.75 and outlet of 2.0"
so far all I can think of is this
or run a mustang rad or get a custom one with 1.5 inlet and outlets I have to run the mustang or f-150 upper hose because of the way it mounts on motor side but I can cut it and adapt the other side.

Replace my rear bearings so I could put my spacer in for the explorer disc brakes, but one of my new bearing boxes had the wrong bearing in it. was .049 of an inch too big, so only one side done.

Re: 69 f-600 14' dump to f-100 short bed
Anybody try replacing their bed bolts with the more modern ones? 924-313
I'm boxing my frame these are off a 1999 and up super duty I'll have to go measure the bed cross members on my superduty, to see the length. They are 12m so like 1/2" bolts. I'd also have to mount the clips or change them to nuts.
ok found lengths online so I dont have to crawl under superduty 6 bolts 5 1/4" and 2 bolts 4 1/4" . I ll have to check how long my bolts I took out were.
