An after thought just hit me as I read the board. :hmm: .....If you suspect an intake leak on an FE engine......take a 1/2 hour road run at hi way speed if that is possible in So. Cal. :lol: ...then remove the plugs & keep them in order with each cyl, SOMETIMES a cyl running lean will show on the plug,
UNLESS it is sucking oel, then it will sill show on the plug , just a different color....look for an off color plug..... Donnie

I live in the high desert. Los Angeles has taken our water, but they haven't overtaken our freeways (yet). Except for ski season; then it's a constant stream between LA and Mammoth Mountain! :lol:

I'll try to take it out for an early-morning sprint on Saturday.
