HURST shifter Made In China
That about says it all, got excited about my new shifter until i read the MADE IN CHINA all over it, some things you expect to be made there.Hurst is such a part of american muscle car culture that i didn't expect it. Sad. Does anyone know of an american made shifter ? besides the sloppy stock one.

Lokar products are still made in the USA, however I don't know if they make the shifter that you are looking for...Their main interest is automatics........worth doing a search......Donnie

Re: HURST shifter Made In China
I remember growing up with the idea that Hurst stuff was the sh!t.
Gotta say, after building similar things, I look at Hurst stuff now like it doesn't deserve a place on the bottom of your shoe. Cheap crap, always was, always will be.
Hurst was great at marketing. Their products sucked @ss.
I use a lot of Lokar stuff. Good products.

I have a lokar shifter in my truck, best thing I've done. **** all over their competition imo.

Sad news, but I'm not surprised. As stated, list what kind of trans you've got & I'm sure someone can find something for you that's made in the good ole' U.S.ofA. I'm pretty good with that kind of stuff (I was a parts-guy for a few years in a previous life)

Thanks to All, The trans is a borg warner t-10 , model 411 out of a 63 Galaxie. It's in my 67 F100 shortbed with a 390ci and 3:70 rear. I checked lokar and they don't have anything I think i'm stuck with this thing, lets hope hurst has their quality control up to specs. Regards, AJ

Re: HURST shifter Made In China
T-10 is going to be hard to find anything other then Hurst. Maybe Richmond/Long? or find a good used vintage unit and use the bronze bushings on the rods rather then the plastic ones.

Re: HURST shifter Made In China
It is a shame. I was looking at a brand new set up shifting rods for my 63 Chevy and the hurst rods made now are thinner than my 30 year old ones. Needless to say I have my 30 year old rods still on
