Playing with welder.

Post by Heavenlyfire »

Well now that the Beast is sleeping for a while, I decided to get the welder out and start playing. This morning so far I have fixed one Hood hinge  , lost the spring :hmm: , and burned one hand ( right in the palm) . Oh well, time for the second one, went and got gloves first though  .

  The hood stays up without a stick now  . I found the other spring, got the second hinge fixed and it worked. Although I do think I need new springs. These seem to be a little weak and these are heavy hoods, I don't want to have to be looking up while I am working on the engine  .

Outstanding there John! :woohoo:

Just the other day I was welding with the MIG felt my leg burning. Next time I'll have to wear some jeans huh? I got a pair of real nice thick weliding gloves with the MIG but I bought 3 pairs (6) of almost as thick red leather/suede gloves at Harbor Frieght for $5.00 .

Isn't fixing stuff while having fun is almost the best feeling that a guy can have...
