"C" transmission code question

This is a question for those whose VIN tag on their doors have a C for the tranny code.

Do your trucks have a 3-on the tree? My VIN tag has that designation,but my truck is now an automatic. 1st owner had things converted as I am learning. From my investigating my truck came with: 360 engine,3-on the tree,manual brakes and steering,but is now a 390,C6,power steering and power brakes.

I'm restoring it and will be putting OE things back. I just need to confirm that the C tranny code is indeed 3-on the tree.
