Floor shifter question

Post by Bigblock514 »

Hey guys
Anyone ever converted a 3 on the tree to a floor shifter?
If so, what shifter did you use and where can I get one.
Any info would be very helpful.
Thanks

Don't waste your time with the cheap Mr. Gasket variety from your local parts store. Spend the money and get the Hurst Mastershift. http://www.hurst-shifters.com/?wpsc-pro ... t-ford-gmc Requires an additional mounting kit http://www.amazon.com/Hurst-3670010-Mas ... B000CMFUWY I went through 2 of the Mr. Gasket's in 3 years, they're very poorly made.

I planed on converting to a floor shift also but chickend out after having a new sheet metal put in, out of curiosity though could this be done without removing the transmission?

And X2 on the mr gasket junk, way to many bad reviews after rather moderate usage.

Looks like I found another project for myself. :D The three on the tree is starting to give me some problems.

This post half-way answered my question. It was already converted from the column onto the floor.

Does this mean I have to get this
http://www.hurst-shifters.com/?wpsc-pro ... t-ford-gmc

and get this
