What am I doing wrong?
I am starting to lose my patience with my new T19 transmission and need some help. I just installed my T19 transmission in my SWB 1968 F100 w/351 HO windsor. I swapped out a NP435 and placed the T19 in. Everything was going fine until I went to bolt up the tailshaft transmission mount to the crossmember. I can not get the transmission high enough to get the mount on and then bolt it to the transmission. Even if I bolt the mount up first and then try and put the crossmember in there is no way I can get the transmission high enough. Anyone else have this issue or have any insights?

Anyone have any thoughts? What is everyone using that has the T19 transmission installed?

Do you have the floor access hole open?
Can you lift the front of the engine up ? That will point the back down and give you a better angle.

When I installed my T19 in place of my NP435 everything bolted up perfectly. Do the tailshafts look identical between your 2 transmissions?

Re: What am I doing wrong?
The NP435 tailshaft is longer and has a slip yoke, my T19 is short and has a fixed yoke. The height of the two seem to be the same but I haven't measured to be sure. What does your transmission mount look like? I'm assuming you have the stock crossmember? I've thought about bolting the crossmember underneath the lip of the frame instead of sitting it on top of the lip. Should give me a bit more clearance.

Now that reread your post I see your question.
I thought you couldn't bolt the trans to the engine.
sorry.
