clutch scrapes
I bought a clutch last year and finally got around to putting it in. It is an 11" clutch. The most outer part of the clutch is scraping the bell housing right where the fork passes thru the bell . It scrapes just between the lever and the flywheel on the flat surface of the bell. Can I file the clutch down ? Its been to long to return it. Kind of irritated I ordered this clutch for a 76 F-250 4x4 W/390 eng. how hard can it be ! FYI its a 76 chassis. Everything is new. I still have not bought a bump body yet. Hopefully in the next two years it will be ready for that step.

Re: clutch scrapes
I had the same interference with a centerforce DF behind a 390. I just ground the bellhousing and ran it.
I would not grind on the pressure plate.
