yoke question

I added a picture of the 3.8, 5 speed yolk, can you guys look at it and tell me if i need to replace that yolk with a 302 yolk or does it matter, never saw a wieght or whatever it is that is attached to this yolk from the 3.8 5 speed http://s1168.photobucket.com/albums/r492/ford6t8/

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

Yeah, me either....didnt know whether it would create a balance issue or what, the tranny is from a 98 mustang 3.8, the tranny bolts to my 302, ordered a 302 flywheel.....this is one of my last hurdles

The V-8 T-5s don't have the balancer on the slip yoke. I am not certain that the tailshaft of the of the 3.8L T-5 is the same as the 5.0L, but I suspect it is. If that's the case, you could swap the slip yoke out.

When I did the T5 install in my 62 F100, I used that trans from a 96 3.8 and the same yoke that was on the 3.03 trans. I ran it many thousands of miles and as far as I know it is still going.
