Wow! 2nd week of January and it's partly cloudy, slight breeze and 70*! Perfect for painting. Upper and lower valances are too long for my paint booth so I have to paint them outside. Over the past month, I've prepped them so hung 'em up outside in my "redneck paint booth" and sprayed 2 coats of POR-15 on the back sides and 2 coats of epoxy primer on the front side. Except for the hood and the bed, all the body parts are now primered. I'll spend the rest of the winter patching the hood and the doors and getting them ready for prime this spring. Come spring we see color!

Just a little quickie update. Been shut down for the winter because I'm at the point where I need to paint the interior of the cab and it's just too cold and damp for painting. So I was poking through my parts the other day looking for something to work on when I got to my replacement automatic/ps steering column. It was then I realized that I was missing the inner plate that holds the rubber boot to the firewall. Fortunately, my good forum friend tylerb43 (Thanks Tyler!) sent me an old one he had laying around that I could use for a template. One of the little bonuses of working in a fab shop....
