lug pattern

i have done the cv swap and wanna have matching lug patterns but i wanna keep the factory 9inch i heard some of the early 80s f100s have the 5x4.5 lug pattern. im wondering if i can just put the 80s axles and drums on mine will this work?

the 80s trucks have a wider rear axle if im not mistaken, like the 73-79 trucks. You can take your axles and drums to a machine shop and they can redrill them for the 4.5" pattern.

I would definately choose your wheels first! the wheels I am using are aftermarket for mewer mustangs, they would not have fit with my original axle. I used an axle from a 75ish f100 and had my local machine shop change the pattern.
