To high rmp?

Ive got a 70 f100 302/c4 and at 45mph its running about 2k does that seem right? I can feel it shift 1-3 by 30 im high gear. Olny thing not hooked up is the kickdown.

What is your rear end ratio?

i think its 4:10 or 4:11 theres not tag so im not a 100% sure

You can always decode your warranty plate for the original gear ratio. A taller rear gear will lower your final drive rpms.

i believe the rear end was changed cause its a 9 3/8. i also got 295/50/15 on the rear

What is the distance from the ground to the top of the tire.? I posted before, the method used to find your rear end ratio if it has been changed & all tags are missing or inaccurate....The moderator can guide you to this info.........post back your tire measurement & someone will help you...Donnie :wink:

08 is a 3.50 ratio.
The fact that you have no tag on your diff suggests that its not the original rear chunk
