Ok, so everything's out of the cab now. You know your truck been sitting too long when you find this in the windshield.

Took my trusty grinder with the wire brush and went over the floor pans. Here's the damage report

All in all, I guess it's not too bad. Still going to need some fresh sheet metal, though.

That and the RH cab corner are all that's going to need fixing up though. All in all, not too bad, eh?

Windshields are out. Drip rails and windshield channels look great! Whew! I was worried. Now to push it out in the driveway and give it a good pressure washing.

Pressure washed the cab today. Had to do the back of the house and my wife's car as bribery for a couple of hours bump time.

Randy the progress is looking good hopefully i can get back to stripping my cab down once i finish with reparing the bathrooms at my house and when i get my weekends back with the new job that i am hoping to get the offer on monday.

Yeah I have been watching overhaulin on Velocity and it's making me really want to work on my truck which has motivated me to finish my jobs on the inside of the house. So that I can work on my truck

Never done this before so here goes nothing! Got my new floor pan and cab corner (DC by way of Tybob81, Thanks Tybob!) so I started replacing sheet metal today. The top of the floor pan, above the crease was still solid, as was the inside and rear edge so I decided to just cut out as much as need be to hit solid metal.

The side next to the rocker panel, while pitted, is double layered and was solid too. Started cutting along the rocker panel and across the top being careful not to cut into the cab mount bracket underneath. Then cut the bulk of it away and just left the part attached to the cab mount bracket. Took out my angle grinder and ground off the spotwelds on the old floor pan.

Then set the new floor pan in the floor and traced around from the bottom. Pulled it back out and cut it to fit with a cutoff wheel on my angle grinder, leaving about 1/8" all the way round for fine tuning.

Funny how you don't notice something until you post the pics. I just saw a little spot to the left of the floor pan that looks like I need to cut out a little bit more and splice in a strip. No big deal. Cut out the bad part of the cab corner

After surveying the damage of the inside metal, I decided to cut that out too.

I'll have to figure something out to patch in the inner section after I get the outer section tacked in place. Cut out the same pattern on the new cab corner and trimmed till it came close enough to weld.

I'll have a little more trimming to do when I get ready to weld it. My passenger side floor pan's supposed to be here tomorrow so I can get the other one ready too.
