You should already have a two-sheave crank pulley with a double alternator belt. The outter most sheave would run the PS pump once added and you would go to a single alt belt, so I don't believe you need another pulley.

Re: Power steering parts needed
I have this one for a Thompson pump. The Thompson is the round one with a "pencil" sticking out of it for the dipstick. $25 shipped.
It's the bracket in the top drawing on this page:

I thought I had the crank pulley, too, but I can't find it anywhere! I do have a three pulley fan belt pulley, though. Part number is: D3TE-8509-EA. $10 for that. It'll go into the medium flat rate USPS box with the bracket.
If you can find the PS pump pulley and the proper crank pulley to keep you two belt alternator, I would definitely recommend doing so. Running two belt to the alternator permits you to not have them tensioned quite as tightly, reducing the strain on the bearings. Also, when replacing dual alternator belts, make SURE they are from the same factory lot number, or you'll never get them tensioned properly together. (Don't ask me how I found this out! )
PM me if you're interested.

That's not the correct bracket. It may work on an FE but it won't clear the oil filter on our trucks, which mounted horizontally.

It won't?? Gee. don't tell that to Frodo. (He's very self conscious for an F250.)Mach428 wrote:That's not the correct bracket. It may work on an FE but it won't clear the oil filter on our trucks, which mounted horizontally.
Please notice the horizontal oil filter.
The bracket in these two photos is actually a bracket I got at the U-Pull-It in Omaha. I had never seen one with an idler pulley like that before and thought it was kind of cool, so I put it on my truck. The PS bracket that used to be on Frodo since his purchase? I'm offering it for sale to Zukinut.
So, YES, it will fit our trucks.
