I JUST SOLD A NOS GRILL

Post by blue68 »

Hey ya'll I just sold a like-new 1969 NOS Grill in the original Ford box. I got $400 for it. Did I get enough for it, or was it worth more?

I'd be way happy getting that much for it. Although, I wouldn't pay that much for it. :D

It went for a fair price. That's about what they go for.

Yea, and I checked into having mine reannodized a year or so ago. I think they wanted about the same. I think that sounds fair on both ends!

Cool. To be honest..... Ya'll NEVER guess who was the buyer........ Dennis Carpenter HIMSELF.

And... guess what he's gonna do with it???

He's making a Mold with it.

So, you guessed it... You 1969 owners out there will have a new grille avalible sometime soon.

Yes, that is exceellent news. Iven though I still try to get good used stuff (like my dash pad) I still like knowing a repro is available just in case I get desperate.

I wonder how much that will run. $600?

Be nice to have new ones available. I got one on eBay two years ago or so and paid roughly $800 with shipping. There was one other one on there before that one and the guy was asking $1300. It had no takers and I wonder why (hmmmm.) At the scrap yard you'd be lucky to get $5 out of it, but mold some aluminum into some rare "shape" and it becomes worth a fortune. I'm happy with mine but like my one buddy said, I brake for bugs!!!
