Just like a shiny new penny...

Post by AmericanMuscle67 »

Have any of you ever thought about copper plating a 67-69 Grill? I found a place that would do it, but not for any reasonable price. So is the originality worth the extra money? I think it would look extremly awesome with red or green paint. Maybe with some select oxidation in places... But I dont know if its even possible, they say people copper plate alot of things, but that they never have, not even once. What do yall think?

Upkeep would probably be a real chore. It would be a battle to keep that green patina from taking over.

a person could get a painted grille and paint it copper color to see if they liked it first. yea upkeep would be a bear. you could get it bronzed like a pair of baby booties.

That would look cool. I would like to see a grille that is black chromed. I would like to do that some day, but not with the 71 or 72 I have now.

Hmm gold trim is a little too gangsta for me. It seems to be the choise color on a lot of the booming caddies I've seen go by. ;) :P

I think copper plated would be interesting, it would be different thats for sure
