Re: Timmytim's 1970 f100
While I had my column out of the truck I checked to see if the bearings where gone and the axle in the housing is real tight but the section that the shifter is attached to has play. Anyone know how to get this play out?

Nice job on the PS man. How hard was the bracket to find?

Re: Timmytim's 1970 f100
All these years Ive been working on trucks under shade trees and never once installed a aftermarket steering wheel until today! Replaced the big simi wheel with a small grant. As my luck runs it started to rain but i managed to install steering wheel anyway. My only problem besides the rain was I got the nss out of adjustment and it took awhile to get it set right....Check out the b4 and after pics...

Re: Timmytim's 1970 f100
I drove my F100 for YEARS with a little bitty steering wheel just like that WITHOUT power steering. You did it in the right order!

Re: Timmytim's 1970 f100
I've added some lap belts for safty. I've also got a used brake booster im going to install. I've debated installing a built 302 that I have had for years but im diggin this 6 to much. These 370 gears are way to low for my 6 being it red lines at 3400 so im looking for a 325 chunk to run. Thanks for everybodys comments

Re: Timmytim's 1970 f100
Nice ride. The column is ps or it wouldnt be short enough. manuals are way longer shaft. Looking good and nice choice of steering wheels. Got the same critter on mine. Looks right for the truck.
