I want to put a 460 c6 and disc brake rear from a mark v lincoln into a 70-72 f100. Any special problems I will encounter with this swap...Jim

The only thing I can think of is maybe the width of the rearend and mounts. The C6 might be different sence its out of a car. Hang around for some better answers.

don't think the rear will fit. theres one under mine and i had to cut some sheet metal where top and bottom meet. i think i still might to narrow it alittle. where does your truck sit? you might need to get the right offset rims for big tires.

what are you planing on doing with this truck? you will need to cut off all the brackets and the pads your the leaf springs. the lincoln is one of the strongest housing, it have more metal holding the middle to the tube. heres a pic off the lip i has talking about

Did'nt alot of the big Lincolns have a different rear end? Something like a 9 3/4"?
I have read something about that somewhere. The ring gear is actually bigger than a standard 9" but is supposed to fit in a standard housing with some work.
Maybe I'm loosing it?
As far as putting in the 460 that's not a problem. Plenty of stock and aftermearket help there. The transmission is a different length and the driveshaft will probably need changed

Also give some thought as to how you will make the parking brake work.
