I bought a Dennis Carpenter kit too, and had problems with the bolts.

Ended up cleaning up the old ones and reusing them. Here is a photo of the kit bolt and the original bolt I took out. Hope this helps someone in the future.

For some reason the bolts in Carpenter's kits aren't threaded far enough.
Glad you were able to reuse the old bolts, though.
That's not going to be an option for me. :(

What it has also happened to them happens to us in Argentina.
The bolts that are provided with the spare part sets are generally current (of buloneria, nonautomotive) notese that they do not take built-in washer and the spiral part is insufficient for this application specifies (the rubber yields and can need a readjustment)
Another common problem is that the plates which they do of support are but fine and we dent ourselves when fitting.
We preferred to use a assembly of chevrolet 67-72 that is but it last, has vulcanized washers and does not yield so much.

Interesting. I have a set of Energy suspension mounts that say they fit '73 - '79. I bought them back in '99 because the Energy Suspension rep said they would work on my '72. I sure hope he is right.

What "suspension mounts" are you referring to? The axle pivot bushings and the radius arm bushings ARE the same, from '65-'79 AFAIK. I believe the rear leaf-spring bushings are the same as well.

I have Energy Suspension cab mounts for a 73-79 that rep told me will work for our 67-72. I also have the leaf spring bushings that need to be installed yet.

exactly, (at least in the Argentine version) from 1966 to 1981 there are variations in no chassis and suspension (single they change the body)
is to say that they share spare parts but I spoke about the assemblies on rubber of the cabin.

I had this exact problem with the rubber bushings when I did my truck about 4 years ago. I did contact DC and got the same response as above. It's a Ford part and we have no control over it.
I had to use different bolts and cut the bushings
