Anybody swaped in a NV4500 trans
Has anyone adapted a NV4500 trans in their truck?,I am thinking about doing this to the 66 F250 I just bought if I can find a trans reasonable.

Anyone had any luck yet? I have had thoughts of someday swapping out my 435 in my 4x4.

I have thought about it, however those things are expensive, like over $2,000 used. Plus, you need an adaptor for the bell-housing. Way out of my price range.
I think I will stick to the three-speed or NP435, much more affordable.
However, if you do install that transmission, I would like to hear about it and see pictures.

I have been doing some pricing and have found some rebuilt trans on ebay for 900.00 but it would require another 3 to5 hundred in parts to adapt not including driveshaft modifications. I did find someone who would supply a new trans and every part needed to install except for the driveshaft for around 2500.00,still to steep for my budget and I will fix my trans and install 3.54 gears. Hi,
I can't remember where I read it but I think you need to look for the tranny from a Dodge gas motor setup for the swap. Something about the tranny from the diesel setup is different, also the Chebby is different. Input shaft diameter maybe?
