Squeeky Cab

Post by a26tford »

My cab squeeks when I'm cruising around town. I don't hear it on the highway probably because of the whistling glass. I crawled under there today and I think the cab bolts are loose. I grabbed my tools to tighten them up but it looks like they're behind the gas tank. :( Maybe I'll go there tomorrow.

It's possible the rubber mounts are shot.
If you tighten down the bolts too much you could mess up the alignment of the cab to the front end, and cause some problems, particularly with the alignment of the steering shaft to the gearbox.
