I cant join chat because of WINDOWS

Im trying to join the chat and i cant down load ActiveX because windows has blocked this software because it cant verify the publisher,so im not good at all with computers and i read some messages on what i need to do.I go to TOOLS and click on INTERNET OPTIONS and then SECURITY TAB to find that it reads, can not trust site because it dosent have https only has the http for the web address and the s is for secure site.So i click some buttons to allow as a site i trust and im thinking OK now i download and join chat,,,,WRONG i still get the same messages poping up telling me that windows has blocked the download,,,and im lost on what to do next, someone please help me and if you would explain it to me like you think i just found the ON switch that would be great

download mirc and then go to afternet server. and type in #fordification then it may pop up a screen askign you for a user name. put in your user name. hazelnut. then click ok. that is the basics of how to get in that way. if you do it this way you can also read the site at the same time as you chat.
