i should finally be able to load her up on a trailer and haul her home this week, to much stuff going on.



i know i am going to have to drain the gas, is there a drain hole in the saddle tanks and main tank, or do i have to siphon it?

Normally auxiliary tanks and saddle tanks do have a drain....of course, it's probably never been removed before, so it might be a challenge. The in-cab tank is probably easier if you just remove it and dump it.

ok thanks, our other truck bit the dust so i need to get it up and running

at aprox. 1300 hours she fired up and drove down the road. i changed, rotor, cap, wires, points, coil, plugs, condenser, voltage regulator, and messed with the timing, and she fired up and was drive able. the carb needs tuning, and the brake system needs re-done., new shocks, seat belts, new exaust system, and temp and speedometer guages

thanks, now the real work begins to get it road worthy. i got to looking at it and noticed my gas pedal wigled, the tab that sticks out to mount it to the body was broke in half so my pedal was hanging by the linkage
