Well, the rearend assembly as a whole won't work for the '67-'72 trucks, due to it being wider....unless you relocate the spring perches. However, by doing so and using this assembly will allow your rear tires to track behind the fronts, something they're not doing now. Otherwise, AFAIK the carrier should be swappable into the earlier Dana 60s. Either way, it's definitely worth saving.

I'd hang onto it just for the 3.54 gears and the LSD.

Keith, were the F-250s narower too? I assume a 73 Dana 60 to be a 3/4 ton. I know th pads would be closer together (unless it came from a highboy) but what about overall width?
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Hmmm....AFAIK all '67-'72 F100/F250 rearend assemblies are narrower in width, whereas all '73-'79 rearend assemblies are wider in total width and also have the spring perches farther apart due to the wider rear frame. However, the '73 thru '77-1/2 Highboy rearend assemblies, even though they're still wider overall, have the same framerail spacing as ours so those would have the perches in the right spot, making it a bolt-in for our trucks.
