carb float height

IM getting to this part of my rebuilt... but im hearing mixed thing bout float height... 1/2 inch 1/4 inch, i got the ruler that came with my kit, can someone tell me the float height on a autolite 2100, and how to measure thanks... i also have some smaller thoat 2100's carbs left,,bout 2 , if anymone is interested, the lower part of the carb,,, too small for my 390..so im stuck with em .

Hey just done a rebuild on a 2100 a month or so ago for my 302. Those rulers measure in 32nds so it will probably be 14 on the ruler- that's set dry and 11/32 or for wet set. May be different on fe, your kit should contain a insert with proper dry and wet settings and will explain the difference. Hope this helps. Insert will also give you illustration on how to set it wet or dry.
