Has anyone successfully taken apart AND put back together, the retractors for your seat belts? I disassembled my seat belts to wash them up and had to remove the belts from the retractors. I've tried every trick I can think of to get them back together right. If I wind them up too tight then the spring comes loose inside the retractor, and if I don't wind them up enough then they don't retract all the way. Any ideas?

Maybe there's a source I haven't found.

re: Seat Belt Retractors
Got your PM. I see they are complete except for the plastic covers. Is there a way to get the buckles through the covers without ruining them? If there is, thats where I went wrong. I took mine apart to slip the looped ends through the covers and clean the belts up. Anyhow, about the retractors, are they good and tight? Retract back automatically and all that good stuff? I'll find them on ebay. Thanks.
