Freeze crack
Has anyone ever had a 352/60/90 block freeze crack. I pulled the '71 in the shop today and pulled the intake off and then went to drain the oil and quite a bit of antifreeze/water came out much more than I think I dumped down the distributor hole. Anyone know a prone area for these blocks to crack on the inside? near a particular cylinder?

Re: Freeze crack
Hey Lance..
I 've never had that happen b4, but I have blown freeze plus in a 352...
In fact, that's the only engine I've ever had freeze up on me..
Just thinkin' that possibly u blew a head gasket... unless you know for sure it's cracked.

Re: Freeze crack
I know the 427s are prone to cracking in the lifter valley when they freeze. Apparently it happens on those old boat engines that didn't get drained properly.
If you didn't drain the block then some gets in when you break the gasket seat at the intake, sometimes.
