c6 spedo cable

I bought a spedo cable for a C6 trans 68-72 250 out of a catalog. I recived a cable that has the head that goes on the tranny with the clip and the bolt that holds it on the tranny. When I went to install it, my trans has a threaded end like the end that goes on the spedo head in the cab, but bigger. has any one had this issue? or is it not a c6? the pan has the shape of the c6.

there are two cable ends for the c6. our years of transmissions. have the screw on head like your transmission has. the later dentside era 73-79 has the piece that goes into the trans with a clip to hold it on. they sold you the wrong cable.

Thats lame. looking in the catalog, the picture they post for that cable is the one they sent me. and it says its for 68-72 hmmm... i believe you though. Thanks for the reply. I think i bought it from LMC. Guess Ill go to the local parts store and get one.

some of those catalog places don't know everything they say that they know. as far as getting the right parts.

Would want to sell that other speedo cable because my c6 has that style cable.
