I hate to throw so many questions out all at once, but I just got an F600 dash cluster in very nice shape and plan on using it in my 69 ranger 360/C6.
This bezel has two holes for auxillary switches and what I wanted to do was add an emergency flasher switch and a flasher warning light from a 60-66 f100. Other than perhaps widening the holes, has anyone done this and is there a flasher switch that was dash mounted in later years like the 71-72 with the automatic choke?
How much wiring modifications need to be done to make this cluster work?
Does anyone know if the sending units for oil, temp, fuel and alternator need to be changed to work with the round gauges in this cluster.
Last, I plan on adding a tach since this one already has the hole cut on the left side. Its about 3 7/8. Anyone use any dash mounted tachs for the F600's from someone like Auto Meter that will fit this application?
Thanks, Jeff

re: A few F600 dash cluster questions
I'd like to know several of those answers as well. I got a F600 cluster also, and since several members have made the conversion, I figured we would get some action on this question. Since my 67 came with idiot lights for the AMP and Oil, I assume I will have to change to senders.
Most of the aftermarket tachs I have seen advertise 3 1/2" as the hole size, there may be enough of a lip on the Sun Super Tach II for example to make it fit. I passed on the first 600 cluster I saw because it had an air gauge in the left "big" hole, and I was afraid (with my luck) I would not find a tach to fit there, so both of my outer holes are uncut. I am going to put a Stewart Warner or Sun tach in the left hole and look for a large 12 Volt clock to fit in the other hole.
I hope we get some answers. Good luck.

re: A few F600 dash cluster questions
I put an F-600 in mine a few weeks ago. I have the speedo, oil and fuel gauges working. I'm trying to figure how to get my dash temp gauge functioning without giving up my after-market temp gauge. I haven't hooked up the amp gauge as my wiring is a mess but there is a loooong thread on this issue here: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... ight=shunt
I noted that the wiring color scheme was different on the F-600 cluster so I laid them side to side and made sure I got the right wires on the right poles.
Post some photos of your cluster; we'd like to see it. Here's a photo of mine.

YES,as you can see I have a 5" Monster Tach in mine. The back side of the Tach is just under the 3 7/8 size hole thats in your dash, just get a "IN Dash Tach" and it will work just fine..f100ranger1969 wrote: Last, I plan on adding a tach since this one already has the hole cut on the left side. re: A few F600 dash cluster questions
I know it's not much help right now, but before too much longer I'll be putting together a fairly detailed photo-tutorial on hooking up the F600 panel, when I get around to doing mine. It might be a few months until I get to that point, though.

re: A few F600 dash cluster questions
Figures my cluster would have an odd sized hole cut in it so after some searching I think I found a tack that might work, Auto Meter has a 4 inch tach in their Cobra series that looks good. Just dont know a lot about tacks and compatibility with our systems. This tach says:
"This gauge is designed to only work on 8-cylinder engines without a magneto ignition system."
I am planning on upgrading to an electronic ignition setup probably from Pertonix. Will this tach work with this?
