If the 280 is the one I'm thinking of, it was used in about F600s and up. When the two higher gear (4 & 5) were in swapped positions, it was an Overdrive. Very sturdy truck tranny and it shifted like a truck tranny.

thanks for the advice on the clark. I was wondering if ya knew of any good donor vehicles I could pull a zf out of, or a M5 of NV4500 for that matter. Dont have a lot of money to work with, but have a real large pick'n pull real close by, and i dont mind rebuilding it. Once again, and help is greatly appreciated. Also, once i rebuild the 460 i have an excellent running 352 FE if anybody is interested, or if anyone wants a 460 in need of a rebuild, lemme know.

Are there any 5 spd OD options that will bolt up to an FE? Will this Clark unit do that?
