good tricks for removing a stuck spark plug?
so i finally got to swapping tghe 14 year old plugs out of the truck today and ran into a problem ( aside from the original problem of the electrode shaft pulling right out of the plug with the plug wire.. i have no idea whay this truck runs as good as it does!! ) there are 2 plugs that are litteraly frozen into the block, im afraid to put my 345lbs of self into it and break them loose as i dont want to be posting asking for a way to get a broken plug out of a block any good chemicals or magic potions or tom cruise's devil magic for these kind of things :

SH!T man PB Blasters pretty good but not sure how good it'd be for that application you could damn sure try it though. hmm if it were me I'd just get a big Ratchet with alot of leverage(read as longest handle possible) and torque down on that F@#$%r and try to get it out but I don't blame you for not wanting to snap it although I doubt that'd happen sure the porcelain part would likely break off but thats trivial.but being as I don't really see any other viable alternative thats what I'd try.

Soak it down with PB blaster. Let it set. Do it every couple of hours.
at the end of the day they will come out like butta'.
PB blaster needs time to penetrate, so dont just squirt it on & start wrenching.
It will take awhile, but this method has gotten me out of alot of jams before.
PS. Spend the money on real PB blaster, not the wal-mart brand. Its not as good. Or if you can find it, Open-Shut. Its just as good if not better than PB blaster.

If that doesnt work you may have to sacrifice a socket and weld it to the plug.

A quick blast from a butterfly air-ratchet will spook it right out of there.

I've had a hundred plugs break off working on boat engines. Never had one that wouldn't come out. If the nut breaks off just drive an easy out in the hole and back it out. I think when you drive the easy out in w/ a hammer it breaks the treads loose. Try the PB first but like some else said give it alot of time and muti sprays.

I never had one that PB Blaster and a long breaker over bar could'nt get out. Longer bar= more leverage and more power.

LOL yeah PB Blasters good stuff I was pretty sure it'd do the trick and the breaker bar would be essentially the "" big Ratchet with alot of leverage(read as longest handle possible)"" like I was talking about but without the ratcheting function and considerably more leverage

No tool box is complete without a cheeter bar.

I had the rear passenger stuck/frozen in the block, changed the other plugs, went down the road that one plug got warm quick and i was then able to remove it.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
