Everybody has dual exhaust, how about quads?
Found these on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Sunbeam- ... dZViewItem They're reproductions for a Sunbeam Tiger, which came with the Ford 260 small block. So they should fit 302 and 351W as well. Wonder what a 302 would sound like with these?

Sounds like a 302. If you had 4 exhaust pipes that went all separate it would sound different.
It essentially made a tri-Y

Re: Everybody has dual exhaust, how about quads?
Those are stupid. No performance gains at all. Waste of money to run 4 pipes.

I'd say it would sound different, but different isn't always better. But whatever floats yer boat is cool with me. Just my useless , not meant disrespectfully.

It would be interesting to find out what it would sound like, but that would be alot of extra plumbing under the truck, wouldn't it? Also, would they even clear the engine mount towers?

Re: Everybody has dual exhaust, how about quads?
I would try them out but id join them in to singles before the rear end. using some smaller pipes on the quads then some four inch axle back pipes to duals kind of like truck length headers on each side she would fart good then aye. watcha think
if its fixed break it again red white and ford blue the only up hill thats good is the one you are going down

Re: Everybody has dual exhaust, how about quads?
I think quads all the way out the back might be cool looking, through 2 dual inlet/outlet mufflers. But i think it would actually dampen performance. It would create unbalanced exhaust gases for not only each side, but each bank would be unbalanced. Just opposite of what equal length headers and an x-pipe would do for you.

Re: Everybody has dual exhaust, how about quads?
Wow, not sure what the performance would be but for sure better than the stock manifolds on a 260 or 289. Those would look soooo cool on the 260 in my roadster pickup. Now if someone would just pull the trigger on these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... T&viewitem (shameless plug) I'd nail those. Just think of the possibilties of running 180 degree tri Y pipes.
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

I like that idea I'd do it if I had a bump mud truck or pulling truck.Brokenarrow wrote:I say turnem upside down and have 4 chrome tips sticking through the hood
